About the Team

The VATSIM Technology Team is the volunteer group behind the development, maintenance, and strategic technical direction of the VATSIM network — the tools, APIs, and infrastructure that keep thousands of members connected to the network. Our work spans everything from core network services to public developer tools, and we collaborate closely with other VATSIM departments to make sure technology serves the wider community. The Role We’re looking for dedicated individuals who have the time and enthusiasm to give back to the network in this crucial department. Our solution stack is vast, and we’re looking for people who can bring real technical depth to one or more parts of it:

• PHP/Laravel
• Python/Django
• React
• TypeScript
• Golang
• C#
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• MariaDB with Galera Clustering

What We’re Looking For

• To be considered for this role, you must:
• Be 18 years of age or older, without exception
• Have been a member of VATSIM for at least one year
• Be fluent in English
• Have no serious disciplinary history for at least two years prior to your application
• Have demonstrable experience in a technological role, including on the network. Real-world experience in the technology sector is not required, but is preferred
